The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) held an awareness-raising workshop for the French companies existing in the Kingdom that are subject to the applicable tax laws. A number of specialists at the French Embassy in Riyadh have attended the workshop.
The workshop, held at ZATCA's headquarters, touched upon role of the relationship manager in supporting taxpayers by following up and addressing their cases as well as in raising awareness about ZATCA's procedures and initiatives.
ZATCA also addressed, during the workshop, the transfer pricing in the Kingdom and the mechanism of submitting the relevant documents, as well as discussed the procedures of examination, objections and settlement since opening of case until closure, and besides, the procedures of collection and submission of interpretative decisions, elaborating the taxpayers' rights in this regard.
Furthermore, the workshop introduced ZATCA's initiatives for facilitating cross-border trade, which are concerned with speed and flexibility of customs procedures for import clearance and all associated logistics.
The awareness-raising and introductory workshops are a part of ZATCA's endeavors to raise awareness of business sector taxpayers subject to tax laws, as well as facilitate cross-border trade through its initiatives carried out at all customs ports. Since the beginning of 2021, ZATCA has so far held +300 workshops, targeting all categories of different business sectors concerned with its activities.
