Monitoring and Control Center (Central Monitoring and Security Operations Department)

The Central Monitoring and Security Operations Department (formerly the Command and Control Center) is responsible for monitoring operations at customs ports via central monitoring systems (security surveillance cameras). Through these systems, work at ports is facilitated, technical issues or obstacles are escalated, and the required support is provided.

Technical Analysis: The Monitoring and Control Center aims to monitor operations at customs ports through central monitoring systems (security surveillance cameras) to analyze data and detect issues in order to take the required decisions appropriately and provide the required support.

Crisis, Emergency and Disaster Management Center

Based on ZATCA's vision to be a global model in protecting the homeland, managing zakat, taxes, and customs, and facilitating trade effectively with a customer-centric focus. ZATCS has set as one of its strategic objectives, A “Center for Crisis, Emergency and Disaster Management", to enhance the culture of risk management within ZATCA. ZATCA seeks to enhance effective crisis response and raise the level of preparedness during crises or disasters through cooperation and coordination with all relevant authorities.

Technical Analysis: The project aims to establish an integrated center for crisis, emergency, and disaster management to enhance response, raise the level of preparedness, and achieve effective coordination with relevant authorities, in line with the frameworks issued by the General Secretariat of the National Risk Council.

Technical Analysis: Self-operation of fire centers and providing firefighting and rescue services at land ports (Al-Batha, Al-Ruqi, Salwa, Al-Khafji, and Rub' Al-Khali). Project work (setup and operation) started on April 1, 2025 and will continue, God willing, until January 31, 2025.

Core Scope of Fire Center Projects

Providing rescue, firefighting and emergency response services at the above-mentioned ports (24/7), managing firefighting and rescue teams and equipment, supervising their accessories and utilizing human resources in the awareness and training areas.

The main objectives of the four projects are:

Implementation of Royal Orders for self-operation of firefighting and rescue centers at the ports mentioned above

Providing the necessary crew and equipment for firefighting and rescue services

Saving lives and protecting ZATCA’s assets at the above-mentioned ports by providing firefighting, rescue and awareness services in accordance with the highest international and local standards
