ZATCA: Zakat Items Platform Open for Feedback

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) launched Zakat Items Platform in order to enable accountants and specialists to learn about the Zakat treatments for items of the financial position statement in accordance with the Executive Regulations for the Collection of Zakat and Rules for Calculating the Zakat on Financing Activities through a search and filtering tool to allow the beneficiary to search by the item name or accounting classification to identify the respective Zakat treatment.

The Platform intends to promote voluntary commitment by business sector taxpayers, contribute to raising awareness of ZATCA's examiners and taxpayers about Zakat calculation mechanisms and facilitate the mission of accountants by defining the classification of Zakat items and ZATCA's treatment method for these items through an advanced tool allowing specialists to search by name of the Zakat item to know the exact Zakat treatment.
