“I'm Positive” Team visits Jeddah branch

27 October 2015

As a part of the strategy adopted by the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) to create a variety of partnerships in different areas, a delegation of secondary school students of Al Aqsa Private Schools visited the Jeddah branch on Sunday 12/01/1437 AH, 25/10/2015G. Headed by Mr. Khalid I. Al Nogali, Educational Leader of the School, the delegation was welcomed to the branch and introduced to the services offered by GAZT to taxpayers and the important role that it plays to boost economy and trade in the KSA. The visit, which underlines GAZT’s outreach campaign to demonstrate its role, followed a pre-planned program beginning with the delegation being welcomed by the Public Relation Department, followed by a tour across all the departments and divisions of the branch. During the tour the delegation members were informed of the role of each department and division.

The delegation was then received by Mr. Ahmed Obaid Al Ta'ifi, Branch Director, who gave a detailed demonstration of GAZT and its role in collecting and depositing Zakat in a special account for social security with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority to be spent on eligible receivers of social security. The branch director then gave members of the delegation to ask questions on the different technical aspects related to GAZT’s tasks and role.

At the end of the visit, the views were exchanged on whether such visits are significant and beneficial for students and how to enhance cooperation in the future through more visits.
