ZATCA Urges Individuals to Give Zakat "Voluntary" via ZAKATY

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) urges individuals to pay their Zakat “voluntary" via “ZAKATY" App for smart phones or via the website (zakaty.zatca.gov.sa) where this Platform provides the ability to calculate the payable Zakat of various type. This Zakat includes money, gold, silver, stocks, investment funds, real estate acquired for trade, etc. In addition, it provides the function of Zakat date reminders, and calculates gold Zakat as per its purity through a specific Algorithms, as ZAKATY is connected to the global rates of gold and silver. ZAKATY has a feature of adding previous properties in the long calculator, in which the user can add a previously saved Zakat assets and check all the assets in the personal account.

Moreover, ZATCA explained in regard, the Zakat received through “ZAKATY” service has reached more than SAR 904 million, since establishing the service 9 years ago, asserting that all the payments received through the service has benefitted those deserved in the social security registered in the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, which is directly oriented to the selected categories via App.

ZATCA has stated that the service is available via “ZAKATY” App for smartphones, the service enables individuals to calculate and give Zakat through trusted, and secured payment methods in banks, through SADAD, “Apple Pay”, Mada, and other secured services that insures fast and flexible delivery of Zakat invoice to deserving beneficiaries, with accessibility to select the deserving beneficiaries registered in social security, most notably, families most in need of housing, divorced families, prisoner’s families, and other deserved beneficiaries, ensuring that the services is supervised by specialists in Zakat fiqh and calculation.​​
