ZATCA hold workshop for Japanese Companies in KSA.

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) held an awareness workshop for Japanese Companies operating in the Kingdom and subject to applicable tax laws. The workshop was attended by the Japanese ambassador to KSA Mr. IWAI Fumio, and ZATCA Vice Governor of Operations Mr. Abdullah Al-Sadhan. The workshop, held at ZATCA's headquarters, discussed the role of the public relations officer in supporting taxpayers through the ongoing follow-up and solution of their issues, and raising awareness on the procedures and initiatives provided by ZATCA.

During the workshop, ZATCA demonstrated the transfer pricing in the Kingdom and the mechanism of filing therein. The inspection, objections and settlement procedures were also discussed. In addition, the workshop addressed tax collection procedures and request for ruling submission, highlighting the rights of the taxpayers.

ZATCA addressed its initiatives for the facilitation of cross-border trade by providing fast and flexible customs procedures on import clearance and its related logistics services. The workshop also discussed e-invoicing systems and the key requirements to issue the electronic invoices.

The workshops are part of ZATCA's efforts to raise awareness on tax laws among business sector taxpayers and to facilitate cross-border trade through different initiatives presented at all customs ports. As a consequence, the Authority held 250 workshops since the start of 2021, targeting all concerned parties from various commercial sectors.
