Dr. Al Barrak is a member of the teaching staff of the Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, and a visiting professor at the College of Business Administration, Al-Faisal University.

Dr. Al Barrak is a member of several committees, including the Board of the Deanship of Preparatory Programs at the University of Imam, the Standing Committee for the funding of research projects at the same University, the Committee for the Development of Internal Audit, and the team working on the draft design of the Zakat course for accounting specialization in the "Zakka" Center.

Dr. Al Barrak holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Griffith University in Australia and a Master in Advanced Accounting from Griffith University.​​​
