Eng. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Funtukh is currently the Vice Governor for Strategy and Trade Facilitation Sector and Acting as the Vice Governor for Trade Facilitation and Customer Experience Sector at Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), in addition to being a member of the board in the National Center for the Prevention & Control of Plants Pests & Animal Diseases.
Al-Funtukh has more than 12 years of experience in multiple fields, including Strategy, Performance Improvement, Organizational Excellence, Customer Experience, and Business & Performance Management in both public and private sectors.
Al-Funtukh held several leadership positions in ZATCA since 2017 including the Director of Organizational Excellence and the Project Director for E-Invoicing (Fatoorah). Prior to joining ZATCA, Al-Funtukh held various positions as the Director of Performance Development at Ernst & Young (EY), and the Director of Planning & Development at Etihad Telecom Company (Mobily).
On the education level, Al-Funtukh holds a Bachelor’s Degree with honors in the major of Industrial & Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from King Saud University. He has received executive training from prestigious International Universities and Institutes, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), INSEAD, International Institute for Management Development (IMD), I.E Business School.
