Ayman bin Ishaq Afghani is currently the Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning for Labour Affairs and Human Capital Development and acting Deputy Minister for Policy and Economic Planning. He has held many important positions during his career, played a leading role in Saudi Aramco, contributed to the I.T. transformation in the communications engineering department, and oversaw the Economic Predictions and Analysis Unit in the Planning and Strategy Department. During his time with Saudi Aramco, he joined the World Bank on loan. He worked as a senior energy specialist with the Global Energy Practice Group to advise governments on developing their economic and energy strategy.
Afghani holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Colorado State University and a master's degree in communications engineering and business administration from the University of Colorado. In addition to many internal and external training courses in different fields.
