General Authority for Zakat and Tax (GAZT) announces the publication of the draft executive regulations for Zakat’s collection, which comes in implementation of the Royal Decree No. (40), dated 2/7/1405 Hijri, after making some amendments on the regulation content.
This announcement comes as an extension of GAZT authority for collecting Zakat, based on clause 3 of the GAZT Organization issued by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 465 dated 20/7/1438 Hijri in order to achieve the highest degree of commitment by the taxpayers, and based on professional best practices, and with high technical competence.
GAZT invites all interested parties and related parties to review the draft regulation and to provide opinions and insights, if any, regarding them.
The General Authority for Zakat and Tax has set 22/5/1440 corresponding to 28/1/2019 as a deadline for receiving the comments.
