The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing (MoMRA) and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) concluded two Memoranda of Cooperation that promote cooperation and exchange of experience between the two agencies. The MoC also calls for the utilization of the Ministry's Furas portal, which hosts offers and manages investment opportunities.
H.E. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, and H.E. Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi, Governor of ZATCA signed the Memoranda of Cooperation.
In order to better achieve integration, governance of relationship and cooperation, and the development of joint actions and electronic services, the parties to the cooperation agreement have committed to enhancing coordination, bolstering cooperation aspects, and exchanging experience and information.
The other MoU establishes a framework for ZATCA to make use of the Furas portal in order to advance the means through which projects and investments falling under ZATCA's jurisdiction can be offered. As a result of the MOU, ZATCA will be able to publicize its projects on the Municipal Investments Portal "Furas," which will boost the attractiveness of ZATCA's opportunities and improve the investment climate.
The MoU was concluded by Mr. Hashem bin Ibrahim Al-Fawaz, Undersecretary for Investment and Revenue Development Department at MoMRA, and Mr. Khaled bin Saleh Al Muzaini, Deputy Governor for Financial and Administrative Affairs, at ZATCA.
