"Zakat, Tax and Customs" holds a Workshop on "National Rules of Origin"

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority held a workshop on "National Rules of Origin" in cooperation with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, as part of its efforts to raise awareness in the field of cross-border trade facilitation.

The workshop, which was held remotely, was aimed at importers, exporters, and customs brokers, as well as many others interested in the field of customs work. The Authority provided an explanation of the national rules of origin and the extent to which they contribute to the development of local content by supporting the national industry and promoting sustainable development.

In addition, the workshop outlined the key documents needed to apply for a refund service of the National Origin Rules, instructions on how to use the service via the authority's online portal, the application procedures, and any limitations and restrictions that may be relevant.

The Authority also highlighted the electronic services provided to the beneficiaries, which enable them to perform their zakat, tax and customs obligations and transactions within only a few minutes through its online portal (zatca.gov.sa), in addition to the "ZATCA application" for smart devices that contains many basic and subsidiary services.

It is noteworthy that the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has held more than 300 workshops since the beginning of 2021 until now, targeting all categories related to zakat, tax and customs.
