The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) stated that the Zakat amounts received through “Zakaty" Service has so far exceeded 393 million Saudi riyals since the Service was launched five years ago, while the total Zakat amounts received through the Service during the pilgrimage season amounted to more than SAR 4.4 million.

In this respect, ZATCA asserted that the social security beneficiaries registered with HRSD benefited from all amounts received through the Service, as they are dispensed directly to the selected categories through the App, pointing out that the Service is always available through Zakaty App, so that individuals can pay Zakat through secure payment methods, such as “Mada", “SADAD" and “Apple Pay", and other safe and secure methods that ensure the speed and flexibility of Zakat delivery to the eligible categories, with the possibility of selecting eligible categories of social security registrants, most notably, families in the most housing need, divorced families, prisoners' families, etc.​

The Service can calculate amount must be paid as Zakat for all types of funds and possessions, including money, gold, silver, shares, etc. In addition, “Zakaty" collects Zakat amounts reliably, easily and quickly. The Service also issues an invoice for the transaction as well as provides a reminder of the Zakat dates.
