The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) won four gold Middle East and North Africa Stevie Awards for innovation in 2022.
ZATCA won the award for innovation in the use of events for the e-invoicing system (Fatoorah) launching ceremony. It also won the Gold Award for Innovation in Viral Videos for Al-Rub' Al-Khali Newport opening video.
In addition, ZATCA won the best innovation award in managing a digital campaign for the 91st Saudi National Day campaign in addition to the yearlong awareness and media campaign on the e-invoicing system (Fatoorah), which campaign intended to raise awareness on the requirements of the first phase of the E-Invoicing System in establishments subject to VAT. The campaign garnered positive feedback at the beginning of the implementation of the project. The media campaign accompanying the opening of Al-Khali port contributed to winning the award.
ZATCA won one of its four Gold Award for the best innovation in commercial information applications – the "ZACTA App". The app comprises many services that help taxpayers and customers to receive their services in a self-served and fast manner. The app, hence, aims to improve the services provided by the digital solutions that ensure speed and efficiency.
