The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has achieved an unprecedented national achievement by receiving 6 diamonds in the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Global Award Assessment, becoming the first in both, public and private sectors, in Saudi Arabia to achieve this advanced level in this global award.
ZATCA received the certificate of Outstanding Achievement in Performance Management and Governance, as the best establishment in this field globally, reaffirming in ZATCA’s leadership, and adopting the best performance in institutional excellence and modern management internationally.
The EFQM Global Award is the highest level of assessment given to global institutional establishments, which ZATCA has undergone a full field evaluation assessment by global residents of various countries of the world, based on detailed criteria that included: Goal, vison, strategy, institution culture, leadership, involving the stakeholders, creating sustainable value, leading performance and transformation, stakeholder’s satisfaction, and strategical and operational performance results.
ZATCA’s official spokesperson Mr. Hamoud Al-Harbi, stated that this achievement is added to a series of international certificates that ZATCA has received recently from global organizations, that proves its institutional excellence and the integration of its administration system, while noting that ZATCA has recently received The Project Management Institute (PMI) certificate, and The Key Performance Indicators (KPI Institute) certificate.
This achievement comes as an extension of the successes ZATCA has achieved in the past period , where ZATCA ranked 2nd place from the top ten establishments list, in the digital experience maturity index of the year 2025, in addition to achieving 1st place in the complaint handling index.
These series of achievements represents ZATCA’s rank as one of the top-performing government establishment in providing a complete digital services, that enhances performance efficiency and improves customer’s satisfaction level, in line with 2030 Vision goals of building an efficient and competitive global government sector.
