Tomorrow, the third edition of the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Conference will be held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh. The conference is held under the patronage of the Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, EH.E. Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, and will continue for two days under the theme "Shaping Tomorrow for Sustainable Ecosystem" with the participation of officials and experts from around the world.
The conference will bring together a select group of decision-makers, global experts, and leaders from both the public and private sectors. They will discuss key local and international experiences in zakat, tax, and customs, as well as the future of digitizing these sectors. The event will provide a platform for exchanging expertise from around the world, fostering stronger connections between stakeholders and those interested in these areas.
The conference's first day will feature a number of panel discussions with the participation of several dignitaries, heads of international organizations, and authorities in the fields of zakat, tax, and customs. Among the most notable panels on " Economic Recovery and Growth Amidst Global Challenges," another titled " Funding the Future: Achieving Sustainable Economic Growth and Enhancing Investment Attraction," in addition to a panel on " Customs and Trade Reform for the Next Decade: Adapting Regulatory & Technological Framework to Meet New Challenges " and a panel on " Comparative Perspectives on Zakat Practices internationally."
While the second day of the conference features panel discussions titled "Unlocking the Potential of Data in Merged Tax and Customs Administration," a panel on " Empowering Business Efficiency and Growth with E-Invoicing," a panel on " Developing Strategies for the Effective Implementation of Multilateral Tax Agreements," in addition to a panel on " Estimation Method as a Model in Facilitating Zakat Compliance."
The conference will also feature an exhibition with around 90 booths showcasing local, regional, and international organizations. More than 70 specialized workshops will be held to raise awareness about key updates and procedures that are relevant to taxpayers and clients in zakat, tax, and customs.
Several local and regional agreements are also expected to be signed during the conference, aimed at enhancing economic and trade cooperation between countries and supporting efforts to streamline cross-border trade operations.
