The Zakat, Tax and Customs Conference, organized by Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) from 4-5 December 2024, will feature over 70 workshops aimed at enhancing awareness of the procedures and updates relevant to taxpayers and customers in the fields of zakat, tax, and customs, as well as addressing their inquiries.
ZATCA has announced that attendance at the workshops is open to all interested parties through registration on the conference website (ztc.sa) or via the ZATCA’s mobile application (ZTC) by following the registration steps and submitting the application.
Among the key topics to be addressed in the workshops are: Agreements to avoid double taxation, the initiative for penalty exemptions, and duty-free shops. Additionally, there will be workshops discussing the calculation of the tax base, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax for foreign companies, real estate transaction tax, excise tax, value-added tax provisions, and registration procedures for individuals and establishments. A workshop will also focus on the application of profit margin for eligible used cars.
The workshops will further explore various customs-related topics, such as value for customs purposes, integrated tariffs, the two-hour customs clearance initiative, bonded zones, the Saudi Authorized Economic Operator Program, and e-invoicing. ZATCA has ensured that these workshops cover a broad range of interests for all interested stakeholders, taxpayers and clients across different categories Interpreting service will be available during the workshops to ensure all attendees benefit fully.
The conference presents an opportunity for professionals and interested stakeholders in the fields of zakat, tax, and customs to gain insights into the latest developments and updates in the sector, as well as to enhance their understanding of the ZATCA’s services and initiatives through workshops led by top experts in Zakat, tax, and customs fields.
The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Conference will be held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh from 4-5 December 2024, under the patronage of the Minister of Finance and the Chairman Board of Directors of ZATCA, H.E. Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan. The conference will also feature participation from several dignitaries, heads of international organizations and authorities in the fields of zakat, tax, and customs, as well as CEOs of major companies and a select group of international decision-makers.
