Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on businesses subject to withholding tax in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to submit their withholding tax returns for the month of August, with a deadline of September 10th.
ZATCA urged businesses to promptly submit their withholding tax returns through its website (zatca.gov.sa) to avoid a late payment penalty of 1% of the unpaid tax for every 30 days of delay from the due date.
Business taxpayers seeking more information regarding withholding tax can contact ZATCA through the unified call center number (19993), which operates 24/7, or through the "Ask ZATCA" account on the X platform (@Zatca_Care), or via email (info@zatca.gov.sa) or instant chats through the ZATCA's website.
Withholding tax is imposed on all amounts paid from a source within the Kingdom to non-resident persons who do not have a permanent business in the Kingdom, in accordance with the rates specified in Article 68 of the Income Tax Law and Article 63 of its Implementing Regulations.
