The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) urged establishments subject to withholding tax (WHT) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to file their tax returns for last April, on a date no later than 12th of May.
ZATCA has called on taxpayers to file their tax returns immediately through its website (zatca.gov.sa) to avoid a fine of 1% of the unpaid tax for each 30-day delay after the due date.
In the meantime, ZATCA invites taxpayers of business sector who wish to learn more about the WHT to reach out through the call center unified No. (19993), operating 24/7, or "Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs" account on (X) platform (@Zatca_Care), or through email (info@zatca.gov.sa), or by instant chat on the website (zatca.gov.sa).
The WHT is imposed on all amounts paid from a source inside the Kingdom to non-resident establishments with no permanent business inside the Kingdom at specific rates stipulated in Article 68 of Income Tax Law and Article 63 of the Implementing Regulations of Income Tax Law.
