The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) held 18 open meetings with taxpayers and customers during the first quarter of 2024 to discuss the opinions and suggestions submitted by participants in these meetings.
In those meetings, ZATCA targeted the taxpayers and clients of their various categories, discussed more than 120 topics of interest to the taxpayers and clients in ZATCA sectors.
Meetings included customs brokers, economic operators, importers and exporters, shipping agents and port operators, free market operators and customs port deposit areas in addition to holding open meetings with charities, real estate developers and senior officials in the education, health, accommodation, technical and services sectors, as the challenges facing their ZATCA related areas of work were reviewed, as well as their opinions and suggestions were summarized, and the constraints that they might face were removed.
Through these meetings, ZATCA explained that it seeks to enhance communication with different stakeholders in their various categories, and to identify all points that will contribute to facilitating the procedures and enhancing the efficiency thereof.
In addition, ZATCA noted that the said points are so important in order to improve procedures and provide a stimulating business environment in all their areas of Zakat, tax and customs, which contributes to achieving optimal benefit of ZATCA services, as well as its role in enhancing the level of compliance and raising awareness.
