Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) successfully thwarted an attempt for smuggling 841,440 Captagon pills concealed in a vehicle coming to Al-Haditha Port.
ZATCA stated that while inspecting an incoming vehicle, 841,440 Captagon pills were found concealed in iron boxes made specifically for the purpose of smuggling.
ZATCA underlined that it will pursue its efforts to tighten customs control over all imports and exports, as well as combat smuggling attempts in collaboration and coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) in order to realize security and protect society against these scourges.
ZATCA urges all to contribute to combating smuggling in order to protect society and the national economy by getting in touch with the Security Reporting Center (1910) or via E-mail (1910@zatca.gov.sa) or through the International Number (00966114208417); ZATCA, through these communication channels, receives and follows up reports on smuggling offences and violations of the Common Customs Law in absolute confidentiality, as well as gives financial reward to the whistleblower if the information reported is correct.
