During the final quarter of 2023, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) conducted a series of 24 panel discussions with its taxpayers and customers, including importers, exporters, and customs brokers. The purpose of these discussions was to address the various perspectives and suggestions put forward by the attendees.
ZATCA organized these panels to engage a diverse range of taxpayers and customers. These panels focused on more than 150 topics that are of great significance to individuals and businesses operating in the zakat, tax, and customs sectors.
The panels showcased a diverse range of participants, including importers, exporters, players in the express transport sector, freight brokers, real estate developers, operators of duty-free shops, and those involved in bonded zones at customs ports. Additionally, the panels also included operators from various ports, as well as discussions with charities, financial institutions, insurance firms, real estate firms, and listed companies. During the panels, the focus was on the challenges faced by ZATCA-related activities. Various perspectives and suggestions were discussed, along with strategies for overcoming potential obstacles.
These discussions contribute to enhancing communication among stakeholders and realizing a positive impact by identifying the factors that would facilitate and streamline procedures, stated ZATCA, pointing out that their importance lies in improving procedures and creating a favorable business environment. ZATCA emphasized its commitment to organizing regular panels to foster better communication and collaboration with its taxpayers and customers.
