 ZATCA” in Empty Quarter Port foils smuggle 43 kilograms of “Shabu”

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at the Empty Quarter (Rub' al-Khali) Port was able to foil an attempt to smuggle 43 kilograms of "Shabu" into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was found hidden in one of the vehicles coming to Saudi Arabia through the port.

ZATCA clarified that while procedure detection and inspection of one of the vehicles coming through the Empty Quarter Port, 43 kilograms of Shabu were found hidden in the fuel tank of the vehicle.

 ZATCA stressed that it continuing to tighten customs control over Saudi imports and exports of the Kingdom, and is standing guard against the attempts by smugglers. This is in continuous coordination and cooperation with its partners in the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, in order to achieve the security of the society and protect it from these scourges.

ZATCA called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy by contacting it on the number designed for security reports (1910) or via email (1910@zatca.gov.sa ) or the international number (00966114208417). Through these channels, ZATCA receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the provisions of the Unified Customs law in strict confidentiality, granting a financial reward to the whistleblower if the report's information is correct.
