Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has been honored with the National Award for Voluntary Work in the government agencies category for the year 2023, organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development during a ceremony held at the “Riyadh Movenpick" Hotel.
The award aims to honor entities and individuals who demonstrated distinguished practices in voluntary work during the year. The award is presented in five categories: the government sector, universities and education departments, the private sector, the non-profit sector, volunteer teams, and individuals.
ZATCA was selected for the award for its efforts in the administrative organization of voluntary work and enhancing its culture among its employees. The number of volunteers from ZACTA reached more than 1500 volunteers with 6000 volunteer hours, in addition to holding 11 volunteer events.
The "National Award for Voluntary Work" seeks to encourage individuals and establishments to participate in voluntary work, as well as highlighting and honoring outstanding voluntary practices which contribute to making a social impact through all areas. The award honored also its organizers of volunteer individuals, teams and stakeholders, contributing to the sustainable development of voluntary work sector in the Kingdom.
This latest accolade adds to ZATCA's growing list of recent achievements, including EFQM Certificate of Recognition for Organizational Excellence with a 5-star rating, Project Management Office Award among the top three project management offices worldwide by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Best Contact Center in the World Award at the annual Contact Center World Conference.
