The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) participated in the sixth version of the Entrepreneurship Forum and Exhibition “RAD", organized by the Asharqia Chamber, from 13 November to15, 2023 in the Eastern Province, under the auspices of H.E. Saud bin Nayef Al Saud, Governor of Eastern Province.

During its participation in the forum's activities, ZATCA highlighted its initiatives related to facilitating trade and services provided to taxpayers. During the session, HE Mr. Abdullah Al Sadhan, Deputy Governor for Operations at ZATCA, participated in a discussion session during where he addressed the initiatives and services provided by ZATCA to entrepreneurs and its efforts to raise the quality of the digital services provided. Mr. Al-Sadhan also highlighted the initiative to exempt from fines and financial penalties for taxpayers subject to all tax regulations. In addition, outlined ZATCA's initiatives to enhance and develop customs clearance procedures, one of the most notable of which is the clearance initiative within the two hours, which represents a unique model for unifying efforts between customs clearance authorities.  

ZATCA participation in the forum also included a workshop titled “Facilitations provided to small and medium establishments by ZATCA. The workshop highlighted ZATCA duties and responsibilities towards its taxpayers, as well as its awareness aimed at enhancing compliance levels among taxpayers in accordance with best practices and high efficiency. In addition, the workshop also clarified various procedures related to taxpayers and customers, including the registration mechanism, data modification, tax calculation of all types, and procedures for installments and calculations of liabilities, in addition to reviewing the most important certificates issued by ZATCA.

ZATCA participated in the Entrepreneurship Forum and Exhibition “RAD" in order to enhance communication with entrepreneurs of different categories, which contributes to addressing the challenges that entrepreneurs face and finding proper solutions. As well as the role of these meetings in strengthening the awareness of taxpayers subject to tax regulations, which contributes to enhancing compliance and achieving the highest levels of commitment. Additionally, the participation serves to introduce ZATCA's services and initiatives aimed at facilitating trade.
