Members of the World Customs Organization (WCO) elected the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's representative in its working group, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Ohali, Data & Analytics General Manager at the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), to head the organization's data and statistics working group, during the organization's meetings held in Brussels, Belgium.
The Kingdom's representative in the working group was elected due to the efforts and successes of its previous presidency of the group, as well as the superiority of ZATCA in the field of data and analysis. Its ongoing efforts to create statistics standards, build capacity, and develop WCO data strategies will help the organization's member states adopt best practices for producing and analyzing data.
ZATCA focuses its efforts in the field of data on its initiatives related to advanced analytics, business intelligence, and decision support across data products and services that comply with data governance and integration policies in all of the Authority's various areas of work.
