 ZATCA Highlights the Kingdom's Experience with E-Invoicing at "GITEX 2023"

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority highlighted the Kingdom's experience in implementing e-invoicing at the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX 2023) in Dubai, which is considered one of ZATCA's most prominent projects as a part of its strategy aiming towards digital transformation for all zakat, tax and customs services, as well as enhancing e-transactions to improve both commercial businesses' efficiency and customer experience, in addition to facilitating many digitization and automation procedures.

ZATCA also presented its success regarding E-Invoicing platform in its first phase during the exhibition, which resulted in many positive outcomes, most notably raising the level of consumer protection, as well as highlighting what was achieved at the second phase “Integration Phase" in which the electronic invoice systems for all businesses is connected with “Fatoora" platform. There are more than twenty-thousand e-invoicing solutions linked to the “Fatoora" platform, and more than 700 million invoices were shared with ZATCA on the platform since 1 January 2023 until now. 

ZATCA aspires to enhance communication following its participation in the 43rd edition of “GITEX" with tech companies that specialize in upgrading integrated digital services provided by ZATCA through different platforms, with the aim of providing a seamless customer experience that achieves transparency and facilitation standards.

The exhibition will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center in the UAE from 16 to 20 October 2023, where international technology companies and government institutions will meet and enable visitors to witness the finest advanced technological innovations.
