The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority called on establishments that are subject to the selective goods tax to file their tax returns for the months of May and June no later than July 15th.
The Authority urged establishments to submit their declarations promptly through the website (zatca.gov.sa) in order to avoid a fine for failing to submit the declaration within the allotted time. The fine is equal to 5% of the amount of the tax that should have been declared for each 30 days that the declaration is late.
ZATCA called on those in charge of the business sector wishing to obtain more information regarding the Selective Goods Tax, to contact the Authority via the unified call center number (19993), which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or the "Ask Zakat and Tax and Customs" account. on Twitter (@Zatca_Care), e-mail (info@zatca.gov.sa), or through instant chats via the Authority's website (zatca.gov.sa).
The Selective Goods Tax is one of the tax laws in the Kingdom, which is imposed on products that affect the environment or public health. These goods include soft drinks, energy drinks, sweetened beverages, tobacco, and its derivatives.
