The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) and its government sector partners continue their services at Jadidat Arar port through the recently-developed Pilgrims Lounge. ZATCA has established the new lounge to improve the level of the services provided to Iraqi pilgrims and achieve streamlined and flexible procedures for all customs officers.
Recent enhancements to the port include a new 9,000-square-meter passenger lounge that can accommodate over 20,000 passengers and more than 400 buses daily. Additionally, there are 68 passport control counters and six designated inspection areas to expedite procedures. The services provided at the port are designed to efficiently process pilgrims while offering medical, preventive, and awareness care, as well as various other essential services.
Last Friday, Jadidat Arar Land Port received the first batch of Hajj performers from the Republic of Iraq. ZATCA has since spared no effort at providing services that facilitate the Hajji entrance procedures. ZATCA also continues to improve effective cooperation and continuous coordination with the relevant authorities associated with the service of pilgrims, unifying efforts and achieving integrated work, which contributes to enhancing the quality of services provided.
ZATCA also announced that through its operational plan for the Hajj season and all its land, sea, and air customs ports, it aims to achieve the best customs services for pilgrims. ZATCA simply follows the directives of the Kingdom leaders concerning facilitating the entry of pilgrims and providing them with all services from their arrival to the Kingdom until their safe departure, in line with the Kingdom's status as the land of the purest and holiest places on Earth.
