 Since the Launch of Zakaty, More than SAR 467 Million Were Utilized by the Eligible Registered for Social Security via “Zakaty”

Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) clarified that Zakat amounts received through Zakaty Service exceeded SAR 463 million since the launch of the service, which were used by those eligible who are registered in the Social Security at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The Zakat is directed to the selected categories through the App or the website (zakaty.gov.sa).

ZATCA added that the service is available continuously to enable individuals to calculate and pay zakat through secure and reliable methods of payment in the banks via SADAD, Apple Pay, MADA and other methods ensuring the quick and reliability of paying zakat to those who are eligible, with the possibility of selecting the eligible categories registered in the Social Security. The most prominent categories are represented in families most in need of housing, families of divorced women, families of prisoners and other eligible categories, confirming that service is supervised by specialists in Zakat jurisprudence and calculation.

Zakaty service, which is available to individuals 'voluntarily', provides the ability to calculate the Zakat to be paid of various kinds, including money, gold and silver, stocks, investment funds, real estate, and others, with the ability to issue an invoice for the transaction, in addition to the Zakat reminder feature, and calculate Zakat on gold according to its purity through a specific algorithm, as the 'Zakaty' service is linked to international gold and silver prices.​
