The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority made the decision to establish an advisory committee to provide consultations in the areas of zakat and tax as well as activities related to customs work and logistical services. The committee will also be responsible for discussing and reviewing recommendations and submitting proposals.
The committee is comprised of a select group of part-time, qualified, and experienced individuals from the private sector. Their memberships are for three years and they are: HH Prince Waleed bin Nasser Al-Saud, Mr. Mohammed Abunayyan, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Onaizan, Eng. Abdullah Al-Obeikan, Eng. Ahmed Al-Subaey, Mr. Fahad Al-Tuaimi, and Eng. Hamad Al Bakr.
It is worth mentioning that the Authority hopes through the creation of the Advisory Committee to strengthen communication with its taxpayers and customers by identifying areas for growth and improvement. The committee's focus is on discussing matters that are either directly or indirectly related to the Authority's competencies locally, regionally, and internationally. It also discusses anything that could help make improvements last and considers potential future directions by implementing best practices.
