ZATCA allows “Zakaty” Service for 6th Year in a Row

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (“ZATCA") has continued “Zakaty" service for the 6th year in a row, which allows individuals to pay Zakat “voluntarily" via “Zakaty" App on smart devices or on Zakaty website (zakaty.gov.sa).
ZATCA indicated that Zakaty service allows individuals to pay Zakat through secure and reliable payment methods in banks, via SADAD or Apple Pay, in a way that ensures speed and flexibility in providing the service. ZATCA added that Zakaty service is provided for the 6th year in a row, after achieving remarkable success in the recent years, great interaction among individuals, and an increase in the number of App downloads. This is due to the ease and flexibility of the service, and the fast, safe, and reliable payment options.
In this respect, ZATCA pointed out that the service is supervised by Zakat scholars and accounting , and is delivered through highly efficient and flexible channels, in a reliable and fast manner to ensure that it reaches its social security beneficiaries registered with HRSD.
Zakaty service provides the option to select the social security beneficiaries, and calculate the Zakat of its various types to be paid, including money, gold, silver, stock, investment funds, real estate, etc., after which an invoice is issued. Zakaty service also provides some features, including, Zakat reminder and gold Zakat calculation as per its degree of purity via a specific algorithm, as Zakaty service is linked to the global prices of gold and silver.
ZATCA also clarified that it has made upgrades to Zakaty service, whereby the beneficiary will be able to obtain the prices of stocks and investment funds by simply clicking on the name of the stock or fund, after completing the linking process with Tadawul.
It is worth mentioning that the total sums that social security beneficiaries leveraged through Zakaty service during the past Ramadan amounted to more than SAR 88 million.
