ZATCA concludes cooperation agreement with SATS Saudi Arabia on air freight

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) concluded a cooperation agreement with SATS Saudi Arabia in the air freight field at the customs headquarters in King Abdulaziz International Airport and King Khalid International Airport, in the presence of ZATCA Governor H.E. Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi.

The agreement was executed by ZATCA, Vice Governor of Trade Facilitation and Customer Experience Eng. Abdullah Alfuntukh, and SATS Saudi Arabia General Manager Mr. Lee Fu Kin.

According to ZATCA, the agreement seeks to supply operational functions for SATS Saudi Arabia's cargo terminals at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The agreement will, in turn, help to improve operating efficiency for logistics buildings in customs areas.

Through this agreement, ZATCA is eager to determine responsibilities in providing services to all of its customers. With its focus on customs, ZATCA will help improve and streamline customs procedures while also boosting operational efficiency. SATS Saudi Arabia will provide handling, loading, maintenance, and all other operational services, which will enhance the performance of the logistics service providers in customs areas, as well as value added to the national economy and service level.

In September of 2020, ZATCA signed a similar agreement with SATS Saudi Arabia to provide operational functions in the cargo terminal at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.
