 ZATCA Thwarts an Attempt to Smuggle 29,000 Captagon Pills at Al-Haditha Port

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has thwarted an attempt to smuggle 29,000 Captagon pills at Al-Haditha port, which were found hidden in a truck coming to the Kingdom. 
The Authority has explained that during the customs procedures and inspection of one of the arriving trucks, 29,831 Captagon pills were found hidden in plastic gloves inside cheese cans consignment and placed within the luggage.

The Authority has explained that after completing the seizure process and in coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to ensure the arrest of the recipients of those pills, one involved person was arrested.
The Authority has confirmed its determination to continue tightening customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports and its standing by in the face of the smuggling lords attempts to achieve one of the most important pillars of its strategy represented in the security and protection of the society.
The Authority has also called on everyone to contribute to combat smuggling and protect the society and national economy by contacting the Authority's designated number for security reports (1910), via e-mail (1910@zatca.gov.sa), or by the international number (00966114208417). The Authority will receive reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Common Customs Law confidentially, with a financial reward given to the whistleblower if the provided information were proven correct.​
