ZATCA: Immunization is a prerequisite for entering customs ports and ZATCA headquarters and branches

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) required immunization as a prerequisite for customer and taxpayer access to land, air and sea customs ports as well as ZATCA's headquarters and branches across the Kingdom, highlighting that “Tawakkalna" App will be used to verify immunization of citizens and residents. This decision will become effective as of the 1st of next August pursuant to directives of the Ministry of Interior to require immunization approved by the Ministry of Health as a prerequisite for entry to a public or private entity, whether to perform work or obtain a service.

ZATCA called on all business sector taxpayers and customers seeking for services and transactions, whether at customs ports or ZATCA's branches across the Kingdom, to swiftly get COVID-19 vaccine through the nationwide 587 vaccination centers approved by the Ministry of Health. Non-vaccinated persons will not be allowed to enter ZATCA's branches or customs ports, ZATCA underlined, as of the 1st of next August.

ZATCA urges those seeking for further information in this respect to reach out via its 24/7 call center hotline (19993), Customer Care Twitter account (@Zatca_Care), by instant messages on ZATCA's website (gazt.gov.sa) or via e-mail (info@zatca.gov.sa).
