The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority announced that it has held several awareness workshops for taxpayers in the business sector under tax regulations, to introduce the e-invoicing system (FATOORAH), in collaboration with various government authorities including Council of Saudi Chambers and Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha'at.
The first workshop was held on June 2nd, followed by a workshop on Monday June 7th, the authority will continue to hold more than 9 awareness workshops for taxpayers and service providers and system developers throughout the upcoming period.
The authority invites the business sector, taxpayers, and anyone who’s interested in the e-invoicing (FATOORAH) regulation to attend the workshops, view the regulation details to prepare for the first phase of implementation on December 4th, 2021, and to follow their Twitter account (@ZATCA_SA), for additional details on the workshops schedule
This initiative comes as part of the authority’s effort share awareness among taxpayers in the business sector and highlight the importance of e-invoicing (FATOORAH) in reducing the commercial concealment, in addition to reducing the shadow economy, which harms legitimate businesses and the broader economy

It is noteworthy that e-invoicing system (FATOORAH) will be enforced effective on December 4th, 2021, and all taxpayers under the e-invoicing regulation are required to generate and store invoices electronically through an electronic system compatible with the Authority's systems.
