ZATCA revokes customs declaration duties on Saudi exports

The Zakat, Tax and Customs authority (ZATCA) has revoked the customs declaration duties imposed on Saudi exports in order to support the national industry exports, facilitate customs procedures and enhance the exports ecosystem in the Kingdom.

ZATCA started the implementation of the decision on all Saudi exports, as a step towards supporting and improving the national industries sector. Besides, it facilitates export and logistics services and supports the Kingdom's goals of promoting its international competitiveness.

The declaration mentioned means the statements provided by the exporter or its delegates, which includes the identification of the distinctive elements and quantities of the cleared goods in accordance with the provisions of the Common Customs Law.

ZATCA launched the initiative as a further step in its efforts to support and promote Saudi exports. Previous steps included adopting the regulations of bonded warehouses, adopting other warehouses and signing of several conventions in this regard. This contributes to facilitating export and import, improving the supply chain management and exports, and improving trade flow.
