The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has inaugurated today, February 6, 2022, its new application "ZATCA" for smartphones, which includes many self-services that help the taxpayers to perform their transactions smoothly and easily. It also uses advanced digital means that reflect the development in the Kingdom, as well as increase the level of services provided by the Authority through digital solutions that guarantee speed and efficiency.
As part of the Authority's efforts on developing its e-services to increase the level of services provided to its taxpayers, this App comes as a supportive of the Authority's website (zatca.gov.sa) which provides many services for establishments and individuals, the most prominent are the “contract disclosure" service, to increase the eligible expenditures contracts for taxpayers which concluded with other parties, to facilitate and speed up the implementation of all services. In addition to the “submission of zakat and tax declarations" service, which allows submission of declarations related to Zakat for a limited financial period and a specified date through the e-portal for all registered taxpayers, tax returns for establishments, and disclosure of all transactions related to taxable sales and purchases. Also, the “Authorization" service, which allows establishments to delegate to accounting offices and service providers that are dealt with to finish their procedures and transactions automatically, and other services.
The vice governor of information technology and digitalization, the engineer Hijer Al-Badrani, has said about the new application: ZATCA App comes to enrich the taxpayers' experience and facilitate their transactions to receive fast service in line with the great digital transformation in the Kingdom. He has also added: There are three core principles we based on in ZATCA App, which are: ease, speed and efficiency. We also used digital tools that enabled us to design it clearly and easily for everyone, from the moment of registration to the services' implementation, while achieving high security and reliability, therefore, it represents one of the advanced technical solutions, that provide an enriching experience to the Authority's taxpayers and beneficiaries.
On the other hand, the project manager of ZATCA App , Mr. Abdullah Al-Madani has said: The application is a new method for an e-system that the Authority provide services through an integrated interactive service environment targeting the Authority's taxpayers and beneficiaries.
He added: “ZATCA" App aims to achieve users' satisfaction and their aspirations in the time of digitization and progression, which is an important step in the great digital transformation that the Kingdom is witnessing to be an umbrella that brings together all the services of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in one platform, according to the highest modern technical standards.
Mr. Al-Madani has further added: The new application contains many basic and subsidiary services in all of the Zakat, Tax and Customs fields, that helps the taxpayers to perform all their transactions and the Authority to serve its taxpayers wherever they are. The most prominent of the transactions are: the submission of Zakat and Tax returns, the registration of businesses and establishments, the submission of objections, and the review of zakat and tax certificates. ZATCA App also allows taxpayers to inquire about the payment processes instead of visiting the Authority's branches, to save their time and effort, and to review their account statement, authorizing accredited accounting offices and other customs services such as customs tariff and customs declaration services, noting that one of the most prominent advantages of the application is the online payment feature that helps the process of completing the implementation of services reliably and securely.
Mr. Al-Madani has also indicated that the importance of all taxpayers from the business sector to benefit from the services that provided by the new App , which is available to download on App Store and Google Play. He has also clarified that the Authority launched today, in conjunction with the launch of the application, the guide of the e-services provided by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, which aims through it to guide and direct the owners of establishments and businesses to learn about the e-services, to allow them to implement their Zakat, Tax and Customs transactions electronically. The guide is based on a full and detailed explanation of the e-services provided by the Authority, and how to benefit from them in the easiest and most effective way, aiming to facilitate the taxpayers' experience.
