ZATCA has attained two awards of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program “NIDLP" that has been granted to some of government entities, which are members of the Program, for excelling in their performance. ZATCA has won both awards for completing the “Improving Beneficiary Experience in Importing and Exporting Ecosystem" initiative and “Developing Importing and Exporting Operation" initiative.
Such advancement was during the ceremony held for its achievements for 2021, at yesterday evening; Tuesday 29th December 2021 with the sponsorship and presence of HRH Prince Abdulaziz Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy and their excellency program committee member.
Both awards are among 15 awards offered by the program to be distributed to 13 government entities, for achieving effective imprints for “Improving Beneficiary Experience in Importing and Exporting Ecosystem" which has been shown in the completion of the technical integration among the concerned entities and clearance process, further reducing the restricting conditions of importing with more than 22% and more than 15% of restricting conditions in exporting, in addition to its initiatives targeting improving importing and exporting operation, for its significant impact in facilitating custom procedures and logistics in relation, through mitigating clearance average period from 288 hours in 2016 into 9 hours in 2021.
The honor acquired by ZATCA coincides with achieving tangible advancement on its initiative level concerning trade facilitation, as its quest for imports clearance in a timely manner is considered the most remarkable target, whereas it has launched several initiatives for the purpose of achieving this target, among which launching custom operation center. At the moment, clearance operations in all ports are governed by a meticulous follow up for measuring performance level, in line with gains achieved through the previous phase, through completing its endeavors in electronic integration with the relevant government entities to clearance procedures, in order to accelerate and automating clearance decision-taking among the concerned entities.
