ZATCA Sings Agreements with 5 Companies Operating Bonded and Re-Export Zones

ZATCA signed 5 cooperation agreements with companies operating bonded and re-export zones in the Kingdom, in the presence of ZATCA Governor HE Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi and officials from the companies.

The agreements were signed with the following companies: Eastern Gateway Logistical Services Company (EGLSC), National Petroleum & Petrochemical Tank Pipelines Company, Saudi Arabian Cistern Company, Saudi Trade & Export Development Company and Saudi Development and Export Services Co. Ltd (SDES).

ZATCA stated that these agreements aim to enhance and enable logistics in accordance with customs controls in these zones located at the Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port, King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu and King Fahd International Airport with a view of improving the efficiency of the services provided, enhancing the effectiveness of these zones and increasing the competitiveness of the national economy.

The agreements has been concluded in the light of ZATCA objectives of providing distinguished and high-quality customs services, in recognition of the importance of the bonded zones and its role in achieving flexibility in customs procedures and facilitating cross-border trade, as well as its contribution to creating an attractive investment environment for the Kingdom.

It's worth noting that during the previous stage, ZATCA launched an initiative to focus on developing bonded and re-export zones in various ports. Additionally, this would help the Kingdom achieve its Vision 2030, aiming to become a global platform for logistics.
