The General Authority of Zakat and Tax has invited individual Zakat payers (citizens and residents), to pay zakat - voluntarily - through ZAKATY app for smart phones, or ZAKATY portal, or by calling ZAKATY Phone at 19993.
GAZT indicated that ZAKATY service is available for the fourth year in a row, after it achieved record successes during the past years, GAZT also confirmed that the collected Zakat amounts are directed directly to eligible beneficiaries of Social Security at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
Through its two electronic platforms, ZAKATY service allows users to calculate Zakat due on various belongings (money, gold, silver, stocks), and paying Zakat in a reliable, easy and fast manner along with issuing an invoice of the process and a reminder of Zakat due date.
GAZT indicated that Zakat can be paid through secure and reliable electronic payment methods in Saudi Arabia including "Mada", "Sadad" and "Apple Pay".
Total amounts of Zakat received by GAZT in Ramadan last year totaled to more than 40 million riyals that were transferred to the eligible beneficiaries of Social Security in the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
