The General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) urges persons eligible to pay the withholding tax (WHT) to file their tax returns for last March, on a date no longer than 10th of April.
The Authority has urged taxpayers to promptly submit their tax returns through its website (gazt.gov.sa) to avoid the fee for late submissions, which is 1% of the unsettled tax every 30 days after the due date.
In the meantime, GAZT invites taxpayers who wish to learn more about the WHT to reach out via 24/7 call center hotline (19993), the Customer Care Twitter account (@Gazt_care), by e-mail (info@gazt.gov.sa), or by instant messages on GAZT's website (gazt.gov.sa).
The WHT is one of the tax laws in force in the Kingdom; the tax is withheld from the total income of non-resident establishments that provide services within the Kingdom at specific rates stipulated in Article 63 of the Implementing Regulations of Income Tax Law.
