ZATCA Invites Taxpayers Subject to the Excise Tax to Submit Tax Return for January and February

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has invited taxpayers from the business sector subject to the Excise Tax to submit their tax returns for the last January and February, no later than March 15th.

The Authority has encouraged taxpayers to hastily submit their tax returns via the website (zatca.gov.sa) to avoid the filing fee for late submissions, which is 5% of the unsettled tax every 30 days since the due date.

The Authority has called on taxpayers from the business sector who want to get more information regarding the Excise Tax to contact the unified call center number (19993) which works 24/7, or the account “Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs" on Twitter (@Zatca_Care), or via e-mail (info@zatca.gov.sa), or instant chat via the Authority's website (zatca.gov.sa).

The Excise Tax is one of the tax regulations in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is levied on goods that harm the public health or the environment at various rates, including soft drinks, energy drinks, sweetened beverages, electronic smoking devices, and the like.
