GAZT clarified that (ZAKATY) portal ZAKATY.GOV.SA and mobile app both provide an optional service for individuals to pay Zakat electronically inside or outside Saudi Arabia. The collected Zakat will be disbursed to various social security programs approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, in order to support the beneficiaries of social security, in accordance with a strategic partnership between GAZT and MLSD.
GAZT stated that ZAKATY portal had received a distinct interaction since the beginning of Ramadan, where the portal has facilitated the opportunity for individuals to pay Zakat electronically smoothly and efficiently at any time, and from anywhere; this has had a significant impact on numbers visitors.
ZAKATY portal allows individuals to pay their Zakat electronically via SADAD and MADA systems in an accessible, secure, and reliable way.
ZAKATY portal is the first government portal dedicated to individuals' Zakat. It offers various and distinctive services, including information on Zakat, Zakat calculator to facilitate Zakat base calculation whether it is for gold, silver, cash, or Zakat on investment and shares. The portal also provides a reminder services of Zakat dates and enables Zakat payers to know whom to give the Zakat.
