Ministry of Labor and Social Development Join forces with GAZT, to Deliver Zakat to Social Security Beneficiaries

GAZT has confirmed that it is working with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development as part of a strategic partnership program to deliver the Zakat collected by GAZT from local establishments to the social security program beneficiaries.

GAZT demonstrated that the establishments obliged to pay Zakat could file their Zakat returns through GAZT website (gazt.gov.sa) and pay Zakat through the e-system "SADAD". Where the GAZT audits and reviews the funds, as well as facilitates the Zakat payment for taxpayers and provides all services that will simplify the performance of this Islamic pillar.

GAZT has indicated that it is transferring the Zakat funds to the Social Security Agency in the Ministry of Labor and Social Development for the ministry to disburse and give the Zakat funds to the social security beneficiaries according to approved procedures.

Deputy Minister for Social Security of MLSD Dr. Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Shafi stated that the Ministry and GAZT Tax are working within a strategic partnership to serve the social security program beneficiaries by depositing Zakat funds directly into their bank accounts to improve their living conditions.

It is worth mentioning that GAZT is working to continuously evolve its work programs in the Zakat field and services provided to establishments in this aspect, aiming to provide more comprehensive support for the social security program, especially in its e-transactions.

GAZT has recently reduced the steps of filing returns electronically through (Immediate Certificate Service) to be faster and more accessible for establishments, enabling them to obtain the certificate immediately and automatically after paying the Zakat amount via (SADAD).
