Three attempts to smuggle over 151,000 Captagon pills were thwarted by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA). Pills were placed inside vehicles headed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the port.
During the first attempt, the ZATCA announced that (43,000) Captagon pills were hidden in a vehicle motor headed to the land boarder. A second attempt was also thwarted where the smugglers tried to bring in (45,349) Captagon pills hidden inside the air tank of the balance arms of the front tires of another vehicle. A third attempt was thwarted (62,790) Captagon pills hidden inside the cooling motor of a vehicle.
ZATCA asserted that it maintains to tighten customs controls on the Kingdom's imports and exports, and firmly monitors attempts of smugglers, in continuing coordination and cooperation with its partners at the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, in order to save and protect the community security against such disastrous materials.

Through these channels, ZATCA confidentially receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Common Customs Law. Financial rewards are available if the report information is proven correct.
