The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) in collaboration with “Ministry of Investment" has convened an interactive meeting with investors on a number of commercial activities, for the purpose of raising the awareness of taxpayers and customers and presenting the services provided by ZATCA through integration with ministries and other relevant government entities.  

At the beginning of the meeting, ZATCA has presented an illustration on its missions and liabilities towards its taxpayers, in addition to its awareness endeavors to enhance the level of taxpayer's compliance in line with the best practices effectively. This is in addition to displaying ZATCA initiatives and services that have been lately launched, and illustrating several procedures concerning the taxpayers and customers, such as the mechanism of registration, data amendment, tax calculation with its all types and the procedures of payments and calculations of the debts.

The interactive meeting has clearly covered the most prominent certificates issued by ZATCA and the mechanism of objection on decision issued by ZATCA. Moreover, it covered the methods of dealing with the facility when transforming the legal entity, as well as displaying the role of zakat, tax and customs dispute settlement committee.

The meeting has also focused on “Saudi Authorized Economic Operator" Priority Program, which provides several privileges of facilitating trade for the member commercial establishments of the program, upon compliance with a number of standards.

Accordingly, the meeting convened with investors aimed at enhancing the communication with business sector in all commercial activities with their various categories, contributing in eliminating the challenges encountered by the sector and finding the suitable solutions. This is in addition to the role of these meetings in raising the awareness of taxpayers subject to tax laws, contributing in enhancing the compliance and achieving the highest degrees of compliance, as well identifying ZATCA services and initiatives that target trade facilitation.
