​​The General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) on Thursday, 1/1/1439 AH, held its 16th meeting for the heads of departments and branches.

Held in Riyadh under chairmanship of HE the GAZT Governor, Mr. Suhail Abnami, the meeting reviewed GAZT's general strategy, the value-added-tax (VAT) and the latest developments regarding the application of the excisable commodity tax.

On the sidelines of the meeting, a number of workshops have been held, focusing on the difficulties faced by the GAZT departments and branches as well as suggestions to overcome such difficulties. All GAZT officials took part in the workshops. 

Also in the meeting, Abnami honored Mr. Tareq Al Sadhan, the former Director General of GAZT for his efforts while in the position. 

Mr. Saad Al-Saiedan, GAZT Deputy Governor for Executive Affairs, was also honored on the occasion of his retirement.​
