The Saudi General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) on Wednesday 11/5/1438 AH, organized a workshop on indirect taxes (value added tax and the excise tax) for the certified accounting offices in Riyadh.
Held at the GAZT head office in Riyadh, the workshop was opened by Tareq Al Sadhan, GAZT Director General.

His Excellency Deputy Project Manager- Indirect Tax Mr. Sulaiman Al Dahian, VAT Project Manager Mr. Hamoud Al-Harbi, Excise Tax Project Manager Mr. Khallad Khreis and Head of the Legal Team Mr. Musfir Al Daheem took part in the workshop.

The workshop comes as a part of the GAZT efforts to raise awareness among commercial and industrial investors and commodity traders across the Kingdom of the excise tax, the VAT and the mechanisms to apply both of them, Al Sadhan said. 

At the end of the workshop, the floor was given to representatives of the accounting offices to ask questions on VAT and the excise tax that were all answered by the GAZT officials.
