​The General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) won the Best IT Infrastructure Award in the Public Sector from ICT magazine .GOV magazine published by ITP.Net

GAZT secured the award for the data center project, beating other governmental bodies. The award was received by Mr. Abdulrahman Paymen, IT Director, on behalf of HE Director General of GAZT. The 2nd.gov awards event also recognized 15 IT leaders in the KSA, highlighting the top achievements made by the public sector in ICT and the outstanding efforts made by the governmental bodies across KSA. 

The data center mega-project aims to implement an infrastructure for important data using the latest quality security systems as well as state-of-the-art servers, storage devices, networks, and tools for managing and monitoring the data center to ensure the presence of a sound foundation upon which future IT projects will be built.

HE Tariq A. Al Sadhan, Director General of GAZT, recognized the IT Department and the project team and hailed their efforts. He said that the success in developing its IT system is owed first and foremost to the grace of God and employees’ cooperation with senior management.  ​
